Inside a common room, TV/DVD rooms and a games room are great places to relax between adventures, whereas sporty types will love the basketball/volleyball pitch in the grounds. Utilise coordination, resilience and team work to splash your way up a classic Lake District ghyll before taking the plunge! There are lots of options on this ghyll scramble and it can be made as easy or as challenging as you like. Afternoon - 3 hours. Meet at 1.15pm. Age 8+.

Take to the waters of our local lake Derwent Water in Canadian canoes. Lead by experienced instructors with our external provider Live4Adventure, you will explore the lake and its islands while enjoying the panoramic views of the surrounding fells. *You will be provided with a buoyancy aid. Half Day Mountain Walk - £10 per person

Gain a sense of achievement from scaling one the Lake District’s most popular mini mountains, Cat Bells. At 451m it is a challenge for all the family, located just outside Keswick with stunning views overlooking Derwent Water and the surrounding fells. Afternoon - 4 hours. Meet at 12.15pm. Age 6+ requires a reasonable level of fitness.

Full Day Mountain Walk - £20 per person

Gain a sense of achievement from scaling one the Lake District’s most iconic fells and our local mountain, Blencathra. Walking straight out of our back door onto the fell you will ascend to the summit at 868m. The round trip will take you along the summit ridge and down to the picturesque Scales tarn, returning to the centre along the traverse path of the lower slopes. Full day - 6 hours. Meet a t 10.00am. Age 9+ requires a reasonable level of fitness.
